Email Vault

Protection for the email you already have.

An encrypted, restorable copy of a mailbox, taken on a schedule, while you carry on using that mailbox exactly as before. No migration required — Vault works on the email you are using right now.

What Vault does

Backs up on a schedule, encrypted

Daily or weekly, your choice per mailbox. Each backup is encrypted with a key belonging to your account before it leaves our servers, so the contents are not readable by anyone holding the storage — including us.

Only what you choose

A backup can be limited to particular folders, particular senders, messages above a size you set, or mail since a date you pick. A mailbox you only want the last two years of does not have to be backed up whole.

Finds the files eating your quota

Vault indexes the attachments it stores — name, sender, date and size — so you can see your biggest files across every mailbox at once. That index is the only thing about your mail we keep in a readable form, and it exists because finding big files is what saves you space.

Puts mail back without overwriting anything

Restore a single message or a whole backup into any connected mailbox. Restored mail always lands in a new dated folder — it is never merged into your existing mail, so a restore can never damage what is already there.

Reclaim space at your provider, deliberately

Once something is safely in Vault, the original can go from your provider and free the quota. We show you what is safe to delete and how to do it at your provider — we never delete it for you. Nothing in this product removes your mail from anywhere; that is a line we do not cross even when you would probably let us.

What it costs

Vault is not billed yet. We have not published pricing, and nobody will be charged before we do. There is one level of service — the mailboxes you connect, on the schedule you choose — rather than tiers to compare.

If you are moving providers, a migration already gives you the option to keep what you moved. Vault is for the mailbox you are staying on.

Start protecting a mailbox

Connect one, choose daily or weekly, and the first backup starts straight away. Your mailbox carries on working exactly as it does now — Vault only ever reads from it.
